Ultraviolet energy penetrates the outer cell membrane, passes through the cell body, and disrupts its DNA, preventing reproduction. Ultraviolet is light with very high energy level and a wavelength between 200-400nm. UV light with a wave length of 254 nm is one of the most effective for disinfection.

UltraViolet is mounted so that water can pass through a flow chamber, and UV rays are admitted and absorbed into the stream.
